Our Double

As Versatile as They Are Functional
Every window we install is built to perform — with security, strength and comfort in mind.
Our Double Glazed Window Styles

Tilt & Turn Windows
A customer favourite, Tilt & Turn windows offer dual functionality — tilt inward for ventilation, or swing fully open from the side for cleaning and access. Stylish and secure, they’re perfect for modern Australian homes.
Casement Windows
Hinged from the side and opening outwards, casement windows are ideal for airflow. They seal tightly when closed, offering top-notch energy efficiency and a sleek look. Great as standalone or paired sets.

Awning Windows
Awning windows open from the bottom outwards, ideal for light and ventilation even during rain. The elevated opening style also adds privacy and security — perfect for bathrooms and kitchens.
Sliding Windows
A popular staple in Australian homes, sliding windows offer effortless operation and a minimalist design. Ideal for rooms facing patios, driveways or walkways where space is limited.

Fixed Windows
Fixed windows don’t open but are perfect for framing views and flooding rooms with light. Combine with openable windows for airflow, or use as striking feature windows in lounge or stairwell spaces.
Glass Options
Low-E glass stands for Low Emissivity Glass and works similar to insulation inside your home. Low-E glass in double glazing has a thin coating on the inside of the external pane. It essentially allows your house to be cool in summer and warm in winter without tinting the windows. In summer, a portion of the heat that passes through the window is absorbed and reflected outside. In winter, it will create a barrier for the heat trying to escape through the window and reflect it back indoors.
Application
Low-E Glass comes as a standard in all of ARCO’s windows and doors. This type of glass is offered as an optional extra by our competitors.
Advantages
Reduces energy bills and costs. Provides comfort all year long regardless of the temperature. Greatly decreases the amount of UV rays entering the home.
Toned glass is created when additives are added to clear glass during the manufacturing process. The toned glass can come in a range of colours such as grey, blue or green and reduces the amount of sunlight entering the home.
Application
Toned glass is recommended for windows that face the sun as it provides solar control. It is not recommended for north facing windows if you want to warm your home in summer.
Advantages
Reduces glare from the sun. Increases privacy to the home during the day.
Recommendation
Toned glass is recommended for windows that face the sun as it provides solar control. Toned glass will reduce the amount of sunlight entering the home year-round.
Privacy glass is created when additives are added to clear glass during the manufacturing process. Our privacy glass is called white translucent glass and offers maximum privacy to the windows.
Application
White translucent privacy glass is recommended for front doors and bathroom windows when privacy is key.
Advantages
Increases home privacy throughout the day.
Laminated glass is also commonly known as safety glass and like toughened glass, is a Grade A Safety Glass. It is two or more sheets of glass bonded together by a vinyl interlayer and when broken, the interlayer prevents the glass from breaking. Some building regulations require laminated glass to be installed rather than toughened.
Application
Laminated glass is recommended for full length windows and doors as it is hard to smash and protects the home against intruders.
Advantages
Holds together when broken by an interlayer, reducing injury, increased thermal and sound insulation and cheaper than toughened glass. Multiple panes of glass provide protection again UV rays.
Toughened glass is commonly known as safety glass. Toughened glass is either thermally or chemically treated to increase its strength and to classify it as Grade A Safety glass. It is five times stronger than a standard sheet of float glass of the same thickness. The toughening process reduces the risk of it cracking.
Application
Toughened glass is recommended for large, full length windows or elevated windows that need more strength for safety purposes. Toughened glass is also used for doors and areas of the house prone to injuries such as bathrooms.
Advantages
The glass will shatter rather than break when broken, reducing the risk of injury. It has less weight than laminated glass and it is suitable for large windows.
